CRFC Socials – the final few months of 17/18 season

Get ready for a jam packed run up to the end of the season on the social front, including Tour to Rimini, 60th Anniversary Dinner at Twickenham (please get in touch ASAP for both if you would like to attend), Ladies’ day, Pub Quiz and 6 Nations kicking off this weekend.

In chronological order:

6 Nations @ the Clubhouse:

The 6 Nations lands this weekend. Typically we focus on the England games at CRFC, but we are conscious that this is a multi-national club! When the Chiswick home games are being played at the same time, the England game will be shown delayed (standard CRFC rule) and other fixtures around this.

Saturday 3rd February – No England game, but the Wales vs. Scotland (14:15), France vs. Ireland (16:45) will be shown. We will show the Wales v Scotland game again later, following the France vs. Ireland match.
Saturday 10th February – England vs. Wales! Also to be shown, Ireland vs. Italy.
Saturday 24th February – Scotland vs. England! Also to be shown, Ireland vs. Wales. A big weekend of MMT Cup Semi-finals this weekend too.
Saturday 10th March – France vs. England and the Pub Quiz (see more below). Also to be shown, Ireland vs. Scotland. At home on the day, 1st XV vs. Tabard, 2nd XV vs. HAC II, 4th XV vs. Uxbridge.
Saturday 17th March – The final round of fixtures – Italy vs. Scotland, England vs. Ireland and then Wales vs. France.

Please note, the viewing schedule will be confirmed during the week prior, due to cup and re-scheduled fixture times still to be confirmed.

CRFC Pub Quiz for CRY – Saturday 10th March:

Following the France vs. England game (see above) a Chiswick centurion and former 1st XV Vice-Captain, Alastair Pickering is hosting a charity fundraising pub quiz for the Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Entries to “the Chis Quiz” are £10 per person including food, with a maximum of 6 per team. The evening will kick off at 8pm (but be there earlier for the England vs. France game at around ~5:15pm!) and will include:

Pub Quiz
Charity Auction and Raffle

Ladies Day – Saturday 24th March:

The Chiswick 1st XV face local rivals, Hammersmith and Fulham in a crunch league fixture. Coinciding on this date is the annual CRFC Ladies Day! So, gentlemen PLEASE INVITE YOUR BETTER HALVES AND THEIR FRIENDS DOWN! Without the ladies, “Ladies Day” becomes somewhat ironic… Some lovely invites have already been circulated (special thanks to Chiswick Snappy Snaps). Fingers crossed for the weather, but there will be a special Ladies Day drink tent outside the clubhouse with obviously some bubbles and snacks.

More details to follow, but we will kick off from ~2pm.

End of Season Pub Crawl – Saturday 14th April:

The annual end of season pub crawl, starting from Hammersmith (likely Belushi’s) and ending at our home from home, the George IV on Chiswick High Road will take place on this date following the 1st XV final league game against Belsize Park. Theme TBC.

60th Anniversary Gentlemen’s Awards Dinner @ Twickenham – Saturday 19th May:
