CHISWICK RUGBY – CLUB MEMBERSHIP S24/25

1 Sep 2024 – 31 Aug 2025

‘With ALL that’s going on at YOUR CLUB - who knows what’s possible both ON and OFF the field’

Introduction
Our recently published Club Update highlighted much of what has been put in place for the season ahead, together with some of what is to come. We won’t repeat here other than to inform of two items pending at the time of publication:

  • Chiswick School: we are delighted to report that following a period of TWO DECADES Chiswick School are reintroducing rugby to the curriculum in association with Chiswick Rugby, from this term on. We’d venture to reintroduce rugby to a STATE school in these times is no small matter.

  • General Facility – Extension & Refurbishment
  • We are equally delighted to report our revised Section 73 Planning Application has been approved. We have a few conditions to meet and will then proceed initially with the long awaited Changing Room Extension, followed by a Clubhouse refurbishment. Fundraising is key – and the more ideas we have in that regard the better! However our direction of travel and positive momentum is certain and both should be accomplished in the months ahead.

These are exciting times for Chiswick Rugby – now it’s time to play…

SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP - Past-Players & Supporters

Important Note: During the work carried out last year with regard Financial (and other) Systems it was clear that this segment of our membership has not been monitored and/or particularly engaged with over a long period of time. Our hope is that with all going on at your Club that will change.

With re-engagement and support at the forefront of our thinking we would like to stress that 100% of fees collected from Social Members will be utilised for our Assisted Places Fund (see overleaf).

  • Match-day Hospitality & Social Events
  • As referenced in the Seniors Section much thought has been given to arranging fixtures in order to create an atmosphere for players and supporters alike to enjoy. The aim is that Members will feel welcome to pop in at any time to enjoy whatever is going on. That said, a Calendar will be circulated shortly highlighting the Special Events that will run across the season.

  • Chiswick Rugby and other sports fixtures throughout our year as a Multisport Community Hub

  • 10% Bar Discount Card
  • Note: valid at the Clubhouse Bar (drinks only & not outside).

  • Annual Fee: £50 / £100 / £250 / £500
  • Whatever contribution you would like to make to the ‘Assisted Places Fund – all/any welcome!

ASSISTED & SCHOLARSHIP PLACES

This NEW offering is fundamental to our philosophy as we aspire to create our vision of a Community Multisport Hub and Centre of Sporting Excellence. The polar opposite of ‘virtue-signalling’ – our desire is to ensure ALL are warmly welcomed to – indeed, enhance - the Chiswick Rugby Family.

Assisted Places
The following is available to all who select the option without question or caveat. As our aim is clear and heartfelt - all we request is that any selection be well-considered.

To clarify – although the main aim of this fund is one of economic support - the rationale for choosing this option is not solely one of affordability – it might be an inability to play a full season etc.

A minimum contribution is requested as follows (please select what is comfortable):

Youth Membership: £125 £150 £175
1,2,3’s: £125 £150 £175
Silverbacks: £75 £100

Full Scholarship Places
We are painfully aware that for some, even the figure above may be daunting, and/or impossible to achieve. Chiswick Rugby will maintain a Scholarship Fund to assist those in such need – which will include Membership Fees and Playing Kit.

Here we ask that contact is made in the strictest confidence to michael@chiswickrugby.co.uk
