Chiswick Rugby Club are pleased to be supporting the Middlesex leg of the RFU President’s 150th Walk raising money for the Injured Players Foundation.
RFU President Jeff Blackett and his wife Sally are walking 150 miles to celebrate the RFU’s 150th anniversary. Walking 10 miles a day across different areas of England, they will finish their final 10 miles in Middlesex on Friday 5th November.
Chiswick Rugby Club will be hosting the first part of the 10-mile leg with a girls age grade match between Hammersmith Academy and BDA schools, before the walkers depart for a tour of some of Middlesex West Group clubs, before arriving at Twickenham Stadium to complete the 150 miles.
Club Chairman, Kelvin Campbell said: “We are so pleased to be supporting this great fundraising initiative by the RFU President and the Middlesex Management Board, which will celebrate rugby establishments in the area. It will be great to see the girls schools match played on our AGP to kick off the day. Better get into training and dig out the walking boots for the day ahead). We encourage all our members, volunteers, supporters to join us at the club at 11am and then for some or all of the walk throughout the day to raise money for such an amazing rugby charity”.
