Excellent news from Twickenham! Chiswick RFC’s very own Rob Udwin has achieved the highest office in English rugby by being elected President of the RFU.

A true Chiswick legend, Rob has given years of stellar service to the club, some of the highlights being:

Played for five seasons in the 1st Team

Four years as Club Secretary

Served as Club Chairman

Regularly nominated for ‘Tourist of the Year’

To celebrate what is surely the greatest honour in our Club’s history, our own President – Ray Theakston – has asked me to help gather the troops for a very special occasion where Chiswick will be hosting ‘RFU Presidents Day’ on Sat 19th Oct ’24.

We hope ALL within the Chiswick Rugby Family will come and join us for what will be a truly memorable occasion. A pleasant lunch, a glass of wine, a tale or three before heading out to enjoy the Chiswick 1st XV league game. And of course, throughout the afternoon and evening that will inevitably follow - the opportunity to shake the hand of our own home-grown RFU President!
